Minimum Salary Requirement Increased

Effective April 12, 2023, the Home Office increased the minimum salary requirements for certain visa categories in the United Kingdom. This decision impacted several visa categories, including the Skilled Worker, Graduate Trainee, Scale-up Worker, and Senior or Specialist Worker visas.


  • Skilled Worker visa applicants must receive an annual income of at least £26,200 instead of £25,600.
  • Graduate Trainee visa applicants must receive an annual income of at least £24,220 instead of £23,100.
  • Scale-up visa applicants must receive an annual income of at least £34,600 instead of £33,000.
  • Senior or Specialist Worker visa applicants must receive an annual income of at least £45,800 instead of £42,400.


Alongside the minimum annual salary, applicants must get paid over the going rate of their job. The new going rate table is now available. Also, the minimum hourly rate new increased from at least £10.10 to £10.75.
